What is happening to me is that CRD works just fine, but after some random amount of time a machine will go "offline" and when I go to that machine and open up CRD, I have to reinstall CRD again. If that's what's happening to you we are not having the same issue. It's just Chrome Remote Desktop that is having this issue, so I doubt it's Monterey that is the problem.ĮDIT FOR CLARITY: This is not a connection problem or a dropout problem. Back on Big Sur though CRD was working just fine. I've tried reinstalling Chrome, reinstalling CRD countless times, tried CRD in Edge, etc.

However after some arbitrary amount of time (observed to be anywhere from 3-10 hours) all of a sudden CRD would not work anymore, and if I go to the host computer I see the "A problem was detected with the Chrome Remote Desktop installation on this computer." (see image). Click Yes to open the download, then open Chrome Remote Desktop Host.pkg within the Finder window. In Chrome again, in the Ready to Install box, click Accept & Install. Select where to save the extension installer, and click Save.

So after moving my two work Macs to Monterey (clean install, no migration) I installed Chrome and Chrome Remote Desktop, and everything seemed fine. Chrome will automatically download an application that needs to be installed (chromeremotedesktophost.dmg).
